Meet Our Pastor

Meet Pastor Terry Gosnell

I am Pastor Terry M. Gosnell. I was appointed to Trinity Church on December 1, 2007. We have been a “church re-start”. We are a “new church” that sprung out of a “declining in membership church”. In one of my earliest sermons, I challenged the congregation to be a “church” that would be “missed” if we “vanished” overnight. Almost 15 years later, I can confidently proclaim we would be missed.

We may be a “new Trinity Church” yet with the same spirit that drew the people called Methodist to this corner of Sycamore and Garland in 1959. We are to be a strong missional, inclusive presence over a mile from the University of Arkansas-Fayetteville campus.

At Trinity Church, our mission and vision is to Welcome, Nourish, and serve. We have countless feeding ministries as well as fighting for justice for the Queer Community in this part of Northwest Arkansas (NWA). We are multi-congregational having a Methodist Korean Mission. there are only 14 UMC’s that fit this designation in the world. We are growing in diversity and as a Reconciling Congregation in the UMC that is fighting and making room for the Queer Community not to just be a “welcoming church”; all churches say that. We are open and affirming to all.
